Having a room with a perfect view is something to appreciate and cherish. Be it a view from a window or from a room onto a room, these views are somewhat special and unique in the way it makes your home that much more exceptional. If you do not have a room with a view, you can always create one. This can be achieved by creating a focal point, even a huge vase with dried flowers or an antique or piece of art can create this 'room with a view'.
I absolutely adore the foulard print, especially Dolce & Gabbana Summer 2012 collection. Oozing cultural freshness and beautiful designs and colours, this is definitely one of my favourite summer trends.
This bold townhouse designed by architect and designer Sig Bergamin, situated in São Paulo, Brazil, is stunning. The beautiful cultural influences are mesmerising. The eclectic style in this townhouse is beautifully balanced. I especially like the wide arrays of colours.
Adam Levine, Maroon 5 front man, has an exceptionally sophisticated Californian pad. This Hollywood Hills home contains some extremely gorgeous pieces. Almost where old meets new, vintage meets contemporary, I think this mixture when balanced correctly looks fabulous within an interior. The art and photography beautifully decorating the walls are inspirational, they are also quite personal and in-keeping with Adam Levines unique taste.
Stripes have always looked wonderful within interiors. They add focal points to a room and also dress it with charm and almost Parisian chic. I do like black and white stripes, particularly, when used primarily as a focal point as too much can be overpowering.
I have absolutely fallen head over heels for this beautiful collection by Roberto Cavalli Home. It is superbly stylish, luxuriously glamorous and the detailing and textures are divine. The new collection will be presented in Milan during the week of Salone del Mobile.
The magnificentUdai Kothi Hotel in Rajasthan, India is mesmerizingly breathtaking. It is beautifully designed with traditional elements making this a very spectacular place to stay. It conveys a magical atmosphere and perfumed scenery, simply magical.
I am a huge fan of Liberty London. It is a fabulous store where you are sure to find some unique and exquisite pieces. I simply adore these Nike trainers in Lagos Laurel Liberty print, which are launching tomorrow in store and online. They are so cute right?!
I have been given a great opportunity to be a mydeco blogger. It is a great opportunity for me as I am able to forward my ideas and inspirations on the two things which I feel passionate about, which are fashion and interior design and I am able to blend them beautifully. I am truly thankful for being part of the mydeco blog family and look forward to writing more inspirational posts!
Moroccan pouffes make a stunning feature in almost any room, they add warmth and character and can also look pleasantly elegant in a contemporary home. Here are some fabulous images of some inspirational pieces. I highly adore the metallic gold pouffes.
Peonies are the new roses as is wonderfully and quite prettily portrayed in the Dolce & Gabbana SS12 collection. Printed florals look amazing and so feminine in spring and summer and this collection is definitely on trend.
With blossoming trees and the sprouting of new flowers, April is a month full of romance and beauty. The birds sing whilst the warm morning sun turns slightly cooler in the evenings. A month of pure delight.
In the latest edition of British Vogue April 2012, I came across this quite amazing but peculiar editorial photographed by Paolo Roversi. It is beautifully styled and and although quite dramatic has a sense of femininity.
